David Suzuki FoundationDSF

Since 1990, the David Suzuki Foundation has worked to find ways for society to live in balance with the natural world that sustains us. Focusing on four program areas – oceans and sustainable fishing, climate change and clean energy, sustainability, and the Nature Challenge - the Foundation uses science and education to promote solutions that conserve nature and help achieve sustainability within a generation.

 

Sierra Youth Coalition SYC

The Sierra Youth Coalition is an organization run by youth and for youth, serving as the youth arm of the Sierra Club Canada. The mission of SYC is to empower young people to become active community leaders who contribute to making Canada a more sustainable society. To this end, they educate young people about ecological and social sustainability; challenge unjust and environmentally destructive systems by using a solutions-based approach; and advocate for the new generation of people in Canada who want to inherit a world: where social justice and the environment are at the center of society’s priorities.

 

Public Service Alliance of Canada   PSAC

Formed in 1966, the Public Service Alliance of Canada is one of Canada's largest unions. A truly national union representing 165,000 members from coast to coast to coast, the PSAC also maintains an international profile through its representation of members who work abroad in embassies and consulates. A vital and democratic union, the PSAC strives to enhance the quality of life for its membership and has been at the vanguard of a variety of significant and successful campaigns for workplace and human rights.

 

Climate Project-CanadaCPC

The Climate Project-Canada is a non-profit organization and registered Canadian charity dedicated to educating the public about climate change through presentations by trained volunteers. Our hope is that by raising the awareness of our fellow citizens about this crisis and informing them about potential solutions, all of us, together, can preserve the climate balance on which our planet depends.

 

The Council of CanadiansCoC

Founded in 1985, the Council of Canadians is Canada’s largest citizens’ organisation, with members and chapters across the country. It works to protect Canadian independence by promoting progressive policies on fair trade, clean water, energy security, public health care, and other issues of social and economic concern to Canadians.

 

Canadian Youth Climate CoalitionDSF

Formed in September 2006, the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition (CYCC) is a coalition of youth organisations from across the country dedicated to securing immediate and meaningful action on climate change by influencing governmental leaders and the private sector.
